Scottish Tablet, is a very delicious crumbly butter fudge, with a real home made taste from Scotland


125g butter, plus extra to grease 1kg sugar ½ tsp salt 250ml whole milk 350ml condensed milk


Dissolve the sugar, butter and milk in a large pan bring to the boil then simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the condensed milk and keep stirring for a further 20 minutes, until the mixture starts to thicken.

Pour the tablet into a rectangular greased tin and when partly cooled, cut into bars, once the tablet is cold, wrap the bars in waxed paper and store in an airtight container.
